So here's a question that I'll bet is a first here:
Anyone on this board pay attention to the pro wrestling scene in and around Las Vegas?
Not talking about when WWE comes to town, but I know of two locally run promotions Future Stars of Wrestling, which I believe runs weekly near the strip and does occasional shows at Sam's Town. And Adrenaline Unleashed, which I think still runs occasionally as well. I know the Cauliflower Alley Club reunions are held each Spring in Vegas at the Gold Coast, and I'm sure many of you have NO IDEA what any of this is, lol.

The CAC is coming up. I have been to a number of them. They are great. I am not much of a fan anymore, but I go for the comraderie. A great group of people hang out together, and you can also spend time with legends who are usually very friendly. I

Loose Cannon,
I won't be able to be there this time but will definitley be there after we move this Fall.
I've not been to CAC but have been to a few "reunion" type events and can not wait to experience the CAC.
I'm also with you on not being a big fan of modern day wrestling. I still appreciate the independents though, as sometimes you can catch a glimmer of what wrestling used to be

I know it doesn't help, but you brought back memories that I have had of Buffalo Jim's Wrestling School. I used to see local matches there all the time with my father when I was a kid. Good times.

The only local promotion that I know of is Future Stars of Wrestling. It's a shame that there isn't a bigger indy scene here in Vegas, but they are taking hits all over the country (i.e. The ECW Arena being renovated in a way that they will no longer hold wrestling shows.)

The ECW Arena shutting down for wrestling is sad. It's similar to when they tore down the Sportatorium in Dallas.
I would think that Vegas could be a good place for indy wrestling, *IF* it could get the following of an ECW or in more modern situations an ROH or even PWG. I know of wrestling fans who have MOVED to Japan to be able to follow wrestling over there, so if an indy group could get a strong enough following locally in Vegas, they'd probably be able to draw at least some people throughout the country to come to a show when they were in the area on vacation.
FSW does look pretty good from what I've seen.
