Why can't you rant about things that need to be done to the city to get it out of the Cesspool you claim it to be. Instead of constantly letting everyone know how bad a place it is.

I do enjoy reading your rants, but something positive about how we as a society can do anything to make it a better place for our kids and families would be nice to see sometimes.

OK. LV is the mecca for whores, pimps, drug dealers, and any other hustler. The only measure of success in LV is how much money do you make. Doesn't matter if you're a teacher, or a casino mogul. I cannot say in all honesty what I think needs to be done to make LV better. I would be branded as a hate monger.

For starters, the civic commitment in LV is pathetic. Only 11% voted in the June election. 46% of the city council and/or county commission is in prison. Parents much prefer driving a Lexus than commitment to their children. The mayor of LV is a self-proclaimed drunk---and residents say he's good for the city. The problem is, takehome pay is the measure for quality of life in LV; which is hilarious considering: https://www.city-data.com/top2.html

You are still ranting with great fervor and no point. A list of 100 rich enclaves has no bearing on Las Vegas. Vegas is a large city.

It is a large and sprawling city. In some dimensions it is a distant suburb of Los Angeles. It is quite southwestern. It is relatively blue collar. It has a significant and capable cadre though it is not as large as some of the more white collar cities.

It is not as good as I would like to see it. I think it actually does pretty well on crime but could come up a ways on education and some other social issues. I think it does a bad job on managing its homeless. An interesting problem by the way...if you do a good job on the homeless you simply get more homeless.

And no its politicos are not unusually corrupt. We ran into a bad set and got rid of them. There are places where Kincaid for instance would have been re-elected...

Not the best city on the continent by any means...but a very nice trade off over all.

Las Vegas is generally regarded to be about 500,000, hardly a large city. And yes, when 46 %, and more to come of the city council/county commission is in prison----yes LV is unusually corrupt. Please show us otherwise. If you can, I want to move there.

You are back in your idiot mode again huh? You complain about the corruption which primarily hit the County Commission and then act like they are not in Las Vegas.

Ask you Doctor to cut down the supply of idiot pills will you?

Sounds like SF bay area, as the link that you posted confirms. Wealth is more important + Material gains. These are the wealthiest people in the US. The sad part is the margin between the rich and poor is the widest also. Can you say NASDAQ?

Former mayor of San Jose Gonzales got caught up in many scandals, and also the current mayor of SF Gavin Newsome.

Scandals hardly equate to prison time.
