Von I think I have read every link about Cox alternatives on the forum. I am still wondering does anyone on here actually have Prism and if so is it good? Lots of my neighbors here in Seven Hills are switching over so in a few weeks I will ask one of them also and update when I get a response..

I had it for a year and just got rid of it. I guess it you got a price guarantee for a year it would be okay. I thought the service itself was nice. But not having NBA league pass, Mlb season ticket available was a strike against it. They just raised their rates starting in March, which is why I got rid of it. I switched to Directv and will save at least $300 or more for the year, plus I get free HD and a $150 costco card. I plan on staying with Directv for the next two years and either they make it worth my while to stay or I will switch to Cox or dish. There seems to be no reason to remain loyal to tv providers, so I am going to follow my wallet to the best deals from now on.

I agree it's best to follow the wallet. I don't care much about sports programming so that's not a deal breaker for me. I am switching to CenturyLink/Prism on Wednesday. I've never had it before so I don't know if it's better than Cox.

I've had both Dish and Direct TV and when I lived in the wilds of rural Minnesota both services were affected by extreme weather. It was like an early warning system. We would always lose satellite right before the weather hit. I thought both services had great picture quality.
