Hey folks obviously I live in Los Angeles, I wanted to drive to Las Vegas for a weekend with my girlfriend, and enjoy the city for a Saturday and Sunday: But I am very uneducated from a tourist standpoint, hopefully you can help answer some of my questions: PLEASE ONLY RESPOND NUMERICALLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH MY QUESTIONS, I DON'T REALLY WANT TO PICK OUT INFORMATION FROM A PARAGRAPH: I.E. FOR QUESTION #3 YOU WOULD RESPOND WITH A #3 AND THE ANSWER: GRACIAS AMIGOS

1. What's a decent or great deal on a hotel between $50-100 a night and that is near the strip? I'm looking for specific names of hotels, I only need a place for me and my girlfriend to crash for a night.

2. Since I live in Los Angeles, Las Vegas is only 4 hours away, and I'm taking my car, it's cheaper than flying. Does every hotel have free parking for non-hotel guests? I don't want to pay a taxi a fortune to take me everywhere.

3. What are the best places to visit that are near the strip, for young people, while I'm on my short vacation? I need a good club for younger people, AS WELL, because it's my girlfriends 21st birthday on Saturday, that's the reason for the awesome trip. Please be specific on the best places to visit, and I don't want to spend the whole day in the casino next to robotic slot queen grandma chokin' on nicotene.

4. Is everything on the strip walking distance for the most part, I'm referring to the major hotels on the south and central part of the strip? I.E. New York New York, Mandalay Bay, MGM GRAND, Paris Paris, and Belagio?

5. This question is very important, I saw one hotel did not accept Saturday arrivals. Are you serious?! Is this the same policy for all hotels? I'm about 99% sure it's not, but want to clarify.

I APPRECIATE EVERYONE'S FEEDBACK VERY DEARLY, THANK YOU ALL.

-Sean

1: Harrahs, or Imperial Palace, Right on the strip, centre of the action

2 The only ones that don't are 4 queens down town

3: Rio- Vodoo lounge (great club) (take flamingo rod, across 15 and its on your right)

4: Bring comfortable Shoes. NOTHING IS IN WALKING DISTANCE!

5 No, ive heard of saturday arrivales, but they are more reserved for the high rollers. Tip Get there AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE, or late Friday night for a room

Have fun in las vegas. Driving on the weekend is a headache on the strip, take paradise to drive anywhere!

1. I presume you have a telephone. USE IT!

3. Your 21-y.o. GF will be wearing sexy high-heeled sandals and a HOT miniskirt to go out clubbing, so you won't be insisting that she do much walking around in front of all the bums, mouth-breather tourists, and latchkey teenagers on LV Blvd, will you, so you'll be doing VALET, won't you Romeo? So identify your club targets in advance and plan your drives accordingly. Clubs: Pure at Caesar's, all clubs at The Palms, Voodoo Lounge at Rio, maybe Rum Jungle at Mandalay, Tao at Venetian, Light at Bellagio, Jet at Mirage, etc. Tangerine at TI is about to close, so you might miss it.

When you're sight-seeing, you can park at (1) the Mirage and easily walk to: Mirage, TI, Caesars, Venetian, Wynn, Fashion Show Mall, Harrah's (skip it), Flamingo (see the secluded shrine to Bugsy Siegel in the back garden area, while you sneak a big wet GF kiss) and Margaritaville, and Bellagio, maybe also Planet Hollywood and its mall in back, (2) NY-NY to walk to: NY-NY, MGM, Excalibur (skip it), Luxor, Mandalay Bay, the M&Ms shop, and Grand Canyon shop, Tropicana (skip it, except for the "Bodies" exhibit),and Hooters.

4. See Answer #3.

5. See Answer #1.

Does Las Vegas still have the policy, where if you aren't from the hotel, you can't use the pool?

Thanks

it depends on the place, the Sahara, Flamingo, Riviera, and Hooters doesn't care...
