Hey,
I'm with an Irish Travel TV series that's following 3 guys who roadtrip across the US in search of the quirky, wild, traditional and fun. We're going to be shooting in Vegas in late September/early October... anyone out there have any suggestions for adventurous things to do or see in ? Any cool events on at that time? Any zany ideas for local things we can have these guys do? Obviously, gambling will be a part of it, but we want more. So:
If you have any inside track for being able to film in any casino,
or
If you can offer a mock-job that we can film the guys working at to earn travel money after they've lost everything in the casino,
let me know.
(Could be good publicity for your business... large viewership in Ireland and the UK.)
Thanks!

you should contrast the life of the strip w/ the solitude of the desert.

many places w/in a short drive (w/in hours) that offer stunning desert and arid mountain landscapes...very stark contrast to the green of ireland.

get some mountain bikes, or go boating on lake mead, or climb up in the spring moutains and see the bristle cone pines (some are thousands of years old).

nothing like a good sweaty climb to flush out the sins of the previous night (esp. if the sweat is mostly tequila)!

Park - nice list, but they speak English in Ireland. Why do you feel the need to point out the jobs that don't require English? Is there an immigration agenda in there somewhere?

I had a lot of fun coming up with that list off the top of my head. ( I have no firsthand knowledge of any of those jobs.)

Mentioning "no English language required" is a hint of the skill level involved in the job, in my opinion. I do know from an in-law that you don't have to speak English to be a dishwasher at the Imperial Palace!

Also, be aware that there are persons native to Ireland for whom English is not their first language. English is today not the "first official language" in Ireland.

English is overrated anyway! I know this because my English degree is hardly worth the paper it's printed on!

Just don't call me a Gaelic, whatever you do!

Top o' the morning!
