Hopefully not someone like this woman. She was suspected of stealing calculators and they find cocaine. I hope they make an example out of her:

Same old tale of an addict doing anything they can to get cash to feed their addiction. I'm with you lvd, I hope they make an example out of her and give her whatever the maximum penalties are.

Joe's God is too busy killing people in Bangkok with floods currently to get involved with this woman again.

When I was in the 8th grade, my 7th grade P.E. teacher was pulled over while leaving school grounds early (going home "sick") and they found hash and a loaded .22 pistol in his car.

People are people, regardless of the profession they choose. Some will be good and some will be bad. When it comes to a position as important and influential as being an educator, there's no substitute for parental involvement. The more the better.

I don't know how many school teachers there are in Clark County, but with 300,000 students I'm guessing at least 10,000. Figuring that at least 2.5% of any group is out to do the rest of us in, how can one bad teacher be a surprise? She's the only one that's been caught. But, also, how come when one of 2 million people does something wrong here it is Las Vegas' fault? If it were Zanesville, Ohio, or Davenport, Iowa, I don't think any one would say, "God help this city," or any make any other implications that it was the city's fault. And I guarantee there is as much crime in Ohio, or Iowa, percentage-wise, as in Nevada. Remember ─ 2½% of humans ─ criminals.

the corruption of the k12 is pervasive from top on down, bad moral examples displayed and taught . the gangsta culture is the corruption from the bottom on up. and the children are caught in the middle. enough. voucher now.

Not to justify the woman's actions but for all you know she could have actually been a great teacher. Everyone's got their demons and there's no doubt money seems to make everyone go mad.

I don't think the local story should be an indictment on Las Vegas at all. In fact, it seems pretty petty. Just sound like horrible immature judgment.

BTW - I've met this girl before. [mod cut-- reference to deleted posts]
