BTW: One of the best family restaurants in Nevada was at the Ho'house at Ash Meadows. They had one of the first air strips for a brothel in Nevada too.
Ya gotta love a Ho'House with an all ya kin eat restaurant

Don't know if it's considered mom & pop, but it wasn't a chain and I had started a thread a while ago talking about stuff that had closed in LV that I missed and this was tops: Alpine Village. Best chicken soup and German food in LV. RIP Alpine Village

Heck, aside from my Alpine Village answer I'll throw in The Venetian (used to be on Sahara) , Port Tack/Starboard Tack, Keuken Dutch, Furrs Cafeteria, The Country Inn...... and once again, not sure these count as mom and pop restaurants, but The Sultans Table at the Dunes and Big Kitchen buffet at Bally's.....

The place I's thinking of was situated like this place on 11th, on a SE corner where it intersects Fremont.

The one that CUT it was Bonnie Springs, but the Alpine downstairs took it away from you and hung it over a rafter.

I always liked their stand against the Union.

They had a vote....and the Union lost .....and still picketed for 17 years that I can remember....

The restaurant used to bring the picketers in and fee them every night....

They ALSO had an identical one on Colorado Blvd in Denver...owned byt the same people.....and just as good....

The ONLY place I could stand to eat Cottage Cheese on the crackers.
