Hi guys,
sorry, I am a bit too upset to use the search here properly and filter through all different posts.

I just hope to get some good advises here REAL QUICK!

We were never in a hospital here in the area before and my hubbie just had an accident (broken nose, broken arm, whatever ...).

He was riding his dirt bike in the desert with a friend and is now back on his way to Vegas. He will be probably here within the next hour.

Where should we go to get him fixed again???
What's the best hospital?? Doesn't matter if in Summerlin, Vegas or Henderson!
Costs also doesn't matter!!

I just want a good, quick treatment for him!

Any advises would be highly appreciated!!!
Many thanks,
Michelle

All are capable of properly handling the trauma you describe. The most important thing is to get him to the CLOSEST ER he can find. Don't worry about recommendations in times like this. Some injuries, especially undetected head trauma can get progressively worse the more time you waste trying to find the "best" hospital. Get on google maps and type in "emergency room" to get him quick treatment.

As soon as they get to civilization they should call 911, unless they are already here.

But UMC is best ER.

UMC has a great trauma center...if you need the trauma center, go there. Otherwise, I personally avoid UMC like the plauge (the location isn't good and the rest of the departments can be mediocre).

Anyway, for future reference, I've always had good experiences at Summerlin Hospital for the ER. For surgery, I've had great experiences at Mountain View in the northwest.

UMC is the only Level I trauma center in the state, I believe. It's county run, non-profit, and affiliated with the medical school. If it's a life-and-death situation, those cases will be headed there.

Let us know where you ended up taking him and how he's doing.
