Default Teeny house

Nope, this looks like the real deal. It's a teeny house, 1 car garage and the lot is probably non existent. Homes here are still close to the bottom so if you like it, grab it. Interest rates are way low. If you can afford a bit more, then you can get 3br,2ba and 1300-1500sf and that's always good for "resale". It will be much easier to sell when you need to than this one. Good luck!

Horrible neighborhood. The streets are wide enough for 1 1/5 cars. Kids playing everywhere in the streets. My realtor took me there when I was house shopping. I told him not to bother after looking at only one house.

Not a good deal if you plan to live in it, but maybe OK for a rental property. It's way too small.

Looks legit, but I wouldn't recommend it for living in. For double the price you can get a house more than double the size and in a much better neighborhood.

If you can't afford a house in the low $100ks, I would recommend renting and saving until you can.

Even as a rental, you'll probably attract dubious tenants in a place like that...

Edit: Let's play the cheap house game! I'll go first:

$4,000 for a house! How about everyone on this forum pool a month's pay and we buy up this Penn. shanty town.

I've looked at houses in this exact neighborhood. Some are in better shape than others. $62k for a 2BR house is a steal if there are no major repairs. The neighborhood is not nearly as bad as some here are implying.
