It's a giant rave. Not my thing, so I didn't go.

It has a reputation for being sort of dangerous. People have died at them before. These are some of the stats from the first night alone: 21 arrests for first day of EDC - Saturday, June 25, 2011 | 11:51 a.m. - Las Vegas Sun

But on the plus side, it brought lots of money into the city.

IT brought in MORE $$$ the the ENTIRE Comdex back in the OLD days and the kids that attended it were some of the NICEST, most poilite kids we've ever experienced

21 arrests....out of 250 thousand people.....hell that isnt even a normal strip weekend.....

There is NOTHING bad that can be said about these kids.....they were GREAT

It's not my scene either but it's not dangerous. The people that have died took too much drugs and keeled over.

When the cops were frisking them at the gate, the kids were THANKING them for keeping it ssafe for them.....MAN this sure wasnt woodstock )

Yes. I know a few people who went and they all fit your description - nice, well-mannered young people. Definitely not arguing with you there.

It's not the number of arrests I found concerning, though. It was actually the number of ambulance calls. I think that 142 ambulance calls in 1 night is the part that's a little bit concerning. Maybe I'm just paranoid...

The cab drivers were even saying great things about all the people and they usually complain about everyone. They definately spent some money. I wasn't here for it but I guess it went a lot better than NBA all-star weekend a few years back.

Drugs man, Everyone was so high on X they where too stoned to misbehave!
We should make it legal (drugs that is) End crime, and remove the deficit in one motion.

I THINK [and that is sometimes dangerous] that the majority of the ambulance call were heat related ALTHO some of the NEW drugs could ne thrown into the mix.

but HEY...EVERYS gotta make money lol
