Hello, I was wondering if anyone could tell me where in Las Vegas, Nv is it safe to live? My husband and I are looking to rent a house in Las Vegas. I know that Summerlin is safe but are there any other good areas.

Mountains Edge is a pretty safe area with all the local patrols done routinely thru out the day.

Your best step would be to search for information by zip codes. A "safe place" to live may vary in definition from person to person, and of course your means to live in a given area, need to be considered to give you the best answer. For example, Queensridge in Summerlin is a guard-gated community in a very rich neighborhood, and also One Queensridge Place- which is a luxury high-rise condominium.

Here is an example of a crime statistics website. Other info is available on City-Data, and I am sure other websites exist that are more recent:

Your question is too vague.
What type and size house do you plan to get and how much are you planning to pay? Does someone need to commute to a certain area?

Avoid the north east part of the valley unless you like to live on the edge. Otherwise, you can find reasonably safe areas that range from borderline safe to super rich gated communities where we all know crime could never possibly occur.
