Granted, it's not much but interesting, with so many reports of the hundreds of thousands of people who moved away and the well advertised bad economy here in the valley, how is this happening at all?

Equally as interesting to see that the unincorporated areas of Clark County (outer fringes of the LV Valley i.e. parts of Centennial Hills and Summerlin, No. Las Vegas, the Southwest, Southern Hills, amongst other areas) grew the most during this time.

Current Clark County Population is at 2,036,358 as of December 2010 per the US Census.

Population in Clark County Grows

The second link is most interesting. It shows how many are in the Valley and how many throughout the rest of the county. All but about 70,000 live right here in the Valley. The rest are scattered over 8,000+ square miles of a county the size of the states of Delaware and Connecticut combined. It's a desert out there.
