I got pulled over and of course I couldn't find my proof of insurance slip. I found it later of course. It had flipped behind my rinky-dink glove compartment. It shows that I was fully covered at the time. Does anyone know if it'll get dismissed once I show it to the Justice Court, or are they out to nail people for simply not having it upon request?

The citation was marked with violation code C ... $190.00

Thanks

You don't even have to go to court for it to get dismissed. Just go to where you pay tickets (the courthouse I think) and get go up to a window with your proof of insurance and your ticket and it will be dismissed.

I once got a fixer ticket and went over to the Highway Patrol Station on Sahara ( near the DMV ) they checked out my fix and dismissed the ticket right there.

Not sure if this will apply for an insurance ticket. I would call NHP and ask.

That's what I figured. The Violation C $190 is what's confusing, because I know the fine for uninsured motorist is more like $750.

Got the first part, no license plate light (gasp) fixed at a metro substation.

I'll stroll over to the Justice court (which I go by all the time anyways) take a number and wait my turn. I guess the worst that can happen is they say "see the judge if you don't want to pay up"

The same cop that pulled me over for this had his lights on someone about 10 seconds after citing me. They're getting desperate.

When he asked me "Do you know why I pulled you over?"
I was temped to say, "Because I let you get behind me"
