I visited this area and it seemed perfect but i wanted to ask those of you in the KNOW!

I live in 89131, great area. Nice and quiet with great views of the snow on Mt. Charleston and the Sheep Mountain Range this morning.

Nice area to rent, but I wouldn't buy there because the southern part of that area is not good, near Santa Fe, Rancho and ?

My friend loved it there, and lived in 89131 for five years before moving out of state, near the Silverstone Ranch area.

Have a home there we will retire to..if we can ever retire! Love our visits there. Great views, quiet. Purchased it 10 months ago and do not regret it.

I presume you have decided against the age restricted areas? Note that Sun City Aliante is east about a mile and has the same views and is even more quiet.

I agree fully though that 89131 is quiet and safe. Even the south end.

Note that the OP specifically mentioned Grand Teton and Decatur, which is 4.5 miles from Sante Fe station. I'd also contest that the Southern end of 89131 is likely fine anyways, but I don't know it as well.

I'd buy in 89131 just about anywhere, and especially in the area the OP mentioned (in fact, I made offers on houses about 0.3mi from there).

To the OP, yes, that area is nice. A good friend of mine lives in the Terrasini condo complex a couple blocks from there and he loves it. It's always very quiet over there, convenient shopping, the 215 is right there, etc. Nice area.

Good choice, but only if you like the house.

89131 is good, I would nt say its bad by santa fe, I used to live 1 blockfrom santa fe station, had no problems, loved it there, my house was right off rainbow blvd between ann rd and santa fe station
