Just got back from Sunday Brunch at The Coachman's Inn off of DI & Eastern. I had called earlier this morning and made a reservation for three: my wife, me, and our cocker spaniel! Every Sunday they have a "Puppies on the Patio" Sunday Brunch. Humans have a choice of Eggs Benedict (with or without lobster), steak & eggs, bagel & lox, french toast or pancakes. Dogs are served either filet mignon or chicken served with rice and carrots. Moreover, there is no charge for the dogs. The waitress even came out with a free hamburger appetizer for the dogs.

Coachman's Inn has 8 tables (7 four-tops & 1 six-top) on the covered patio and most of them were in use when we arrived at 10am. There were almost as many dogs as people, but everyone seemed to be on their best behavior. (That goes for the people as well as the dogs.)

My wife and I each had the $6.95 eggs benedict and a $4.95 Bloody Mary. The food and drinks were fine given that price point, but I wouldn't recommend the place on the food alone. IOW, if you don't have a dog, don't make a special trip to go there for the food. But if you do, this is a great place to hang out on a Sunday morning. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient, and the customers are all in a relaxed and friendly mood.

We've already made plans to go back there next Sunday with a friend and her labradoodle. I think this just became our new Sunday morning hangout.

Thanks for the tip. Since we don't have a dog - sounds like a place we'll avoid on Sundays.

Thanks for the reminder MMoB. We haven't been to the Coachman's in years. That was once THE media hangout, especially when Ch-3 was located at DI and Boulder Hiway. We kept going back after the move to Foremaster Ln, but that eventually faded out and Jerry's Nugget won our hearts and minds. Our killer Lhasa Apsos would love having breakfast out with us.

Just avoid the brownies...and the sausages...on the menu. And skip the apple juice...especially if it's warm.
