I read that to get a Sheriff's card you need to present a birth certificate if you are under 25, which I am. My question is if a plain copy of the birth certificate is acceptable, or if I actually have to show the real thing/order a 'certified' copy.

I have a copy that I made of it with me, but my real birth certificate is in a lockbox back home and it would be a real pain in the butt to get it. I read that getting a certified copy from my state would take two weeks just to process the request, which is annoying.

Thanks!

You are better off calling and asking instead of consulting with a net forum.

Actually I think you first need a referral from an employer. There are two types as well gaming/non-gaming. If the employer is in the county, you don't need one, if the employer is within the city limits then you will.

I agree with your first sentence, but not the last. I'm pretty sure they are required to work in any casino in Clark County. A long time ago I had to get one to sell cars. However, the rules were relaxed a while back. All you have to do is ask Metro. But, I pretty sure that when I was at JobConnect, we turned down requests for vouchers if they didn't have a birth certificate and were under whatever age it is. They also had to get a letter of intent to hire from the employer.

Actuaallllllllllllly, now that I think of it, the employer takes care of all that now. You don't go to the Sheriff's office anymore. ¿Verdad?

A copy is fine...so long as you're a clone of yourself.
