I spent 3 weeks hitting my unwanted grass with chlorine bleach, then white vinegar. It thrived. Finally hired a company to put down weed killer and also treatments of preventative. It is still thriving in places. I have been told a desert landscaped stone yard is more expensive to take care of then a grass lawn as you see in the midwest and east. I'm beginning to believe them.
