Well not entirely they want a place with no humidity.

Ever been in Maui when the trades stop? Educational.

Note that we are talking a reasonable low end rental.

Try CH. It works and so does your price point.

Yeah. To the OP, I should note that I'm kindof in your boat too, since commute is not an issue for me or my fiancee, we like spending time outdoors, and our pricepoint is similar to yours (though for a mortgage, not renting). We live in the Northern part of 89143. It's close to both Floyd Lamb Park, open desert, and about as close as you can get within LV to Mt. Charleston. We like it here.

I would actually live up on Mt.Charleston or close to it. Well, only if they keep the fire station operating. I don't fancy burning to death.

+1 to this (in seriousness). Commute time was a very small factor for my girlfriend and me. We bought in Aliante for the nice neighborhoods, great house values, relative closeness to stores we frequent and we didn't want to live near livestock or anywhere that required well water.

Location doesn't matter to me either job-wise. The Strip is my answer!

I once spent a year dead for tax reasons, but that's another story.

Don't forget to consider all the people who will want to visit you. They will want you to be close to the strip.
