Hello all.... this will be the first year I'll be in Las Vegas while the final table of the WSOP main event unfolds (no pun intended) live at the Rio. The final table will be this Saturday, November 6 and I am interested in stopping by to observe and take in the scene. Does anyone know how this works for the final table? Is it required to have tickets - and if so how would I go about obtaining them?

Thanks in advance for your assistance

Not true, I was there on vacation last year and was able to get in after waiting in line for about an hour. I arrived @4pm.

It was at the Penn and Teller Theater last year and There were definitely some seats reserved but there is room for the public and people just cycled in and out.

I may check it out as well. Poker's kind of boring to watch unless you can see the hole cards, though. I doubt I'll stay for long if I do go.

Go Mizrachi!

Probably the worst time to go is for the start. You could possibly get there 4 hours early & not make it in the door for the first hand. Lots of people have family/friend passes & they all get there for the start. Then some of the people who've been waiting in line get in. As people leave throughout the day more are allowed in. Anyway, by evening or late night you should find it easier to get in.
I went the first year, was in for the first hand, & I think it took about 90 minutes of playing before we saw the first flop! I knew that the TV version is condensed, but didn't know how much! When I watched that final table on TV, the first hand depicted was about 3-4 hours into the day! VERY boring!
One thing you might enjoy is to show up for that hour before the start & see all the pro players enter.
Have fun!
