I like the cheap rents in Las Vegas compared to Los Angeles, which is the other center of adult entertainment in the U.S. Is the adult entertainment business still flourishing in Las Vegas or is it a thing of the past? Anybody with experience that can speak on the matter, such as the current job market for n00bs?

Sin city will always be Sin City, and where there is cash, there will always be Silicon / Saline and women willing to bolt them to their bodies.

Prostitution is still legal in Nevada (And in Washington DC, but that's another story) so I am sure any adult entertainment you seek is available (and a very high price)

As far as Job market for n00bs, as long as you have years of experience in the n00b Industry and good references to your n00b abilities, I am sure you can find a good paying job.

(Just a warning, I hear that both China and India are outsourcing n00b's at 1 1/10th the price n00bs in this country expect to get paid)

A n00b is someone without skills. Someone who gets pwn3d on a regular basis.

Considering the recent age poll this might be helpful.

And I can't help but quote Napoleon Dynamite here:

"You know, like nunchuck skills, bowhunting skills, computer hacking skills... Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills."

I use the term n00b because I often compare adult entertainment to normal entertainment, in which you have to get your foot in the door before you can really make it a real job.

In Los Angeles for instance a career in pornography follows the same guidelines as a career in acting, modeling, showbusiness, etc....

However while the entertainment industry is a shadow of it's former itself in America, and the LA pornography to a lesser degree, is Las Vegas suffering from the same problems?

And I don't mean prostitution or even escorts. I mean finding an entry level position as a stripper or showgirl, porn actor/actress etc just by arriving in Las Vegas and being good at your job.

If you have been involved in the industry in LA, then you may be able to ask friends / co workers if they
"Know someone" in Vegas who can "hook you up" (we call that having 'juice') or if you have:

1) Marketable looks
2) Questionable morals
3) A 'Commercial' physic
4) Some Talent

I am sure you can walk into most places, and get some wage for whatever the need is for you to do.

If you are really a n00b who has ZERO past experience, then your chances are that much harder.
You will have to just walk into bars / clubs / etc and see if they will hire you based on the talents above.

Just moving here and then doing that.. Very Scary

Get the trades and start looking for auditions, maybe drive out here for a few weeks, crash at a friends and check out the scene.

If the price is right, looks & experience are not necessary.
