I need to buy a mattress. Has anyone heard of Big Red Mattress company? Their prices look great. I tried to find online reviews, including Yelp but couldn't find any.

Any help would greatly appreciated.

Don't cheap mattresses equal expensive bed bugs?

I like Best Mattress. I've always had a good experience with them and they usually have good sales.

Wow. I'm not sure I recall Big Lots ever being recommend for anything. But if you like what they sell, go for it.

I bought a mattress for my guest bedroom at Mattress Firm on Rainbow near Charleston, and the salesman there was willing to negotiate price. He eventually dropped the price and threw in a bed frame for free in an effort to entice me, and it worked. I got a nice Simmons mattress and box springs. Delivery, if I remember correctly, was about $40, and it was on time. Overall, a good buying experience.

I also like Big Lots. They purchase items from stores who are going out of business at a discount and pass the savings along. I do a lot of cross referencing on prices to make sure I'm getting a deal and sometimes you can take their circular to another store and they will price match.

Buying a mattress can be just as tricky as buying a used car. You can get great deals if you negotiate well.

There are some good tips here

Thanks Spraynard Kruger for the tips. Those tips about the $200.00 mattress sets is why I questioned if anyone has had any experience with Big Red Mattress Company in Henderson. They have low priced models and pricier ones too.

I've purchased two mattresses so far, I haven't been impressed with the one I bought at a furniture store. The other was new and cheap, with a decent box spring (better than the one I bought from the furniture store which is nothing but a "box") so I can't complain much there but.. I always, always beware of companies that go out of their way to write up fake reviews.

Big Red Mattress - Mattress Stor - Google Maps

The customer service I got from Best Mattress and Mattress Firm makes me want to purchase from one of either. I went to both on Dean Martin next to Blue Diamond. Of course the list prices aren't cheap but like the person above, you can haggle and get a good price on a truly good mattress set.

I also need to buy a mattress and box spring. Thanks for the tips. Costco or Sams generally have fair prices on these items, but no delivery. Since I'll be flying and renting a car, that makes it difficult. So I'll check out these recommendations and hope for the best.
