Spread the word to your families!!

Some will agree, some will disagree.

Here is the article. Las Vegas increasing in popularity as a family reunion destination - Living - ReviewJournal.com

"This is the perfect place for families with kids," Darla Grant says of Las Vegas and Texas Station, the location of her family reunion. About 200 members of the Jones/Deadwyler family came from California, Arizona and Nevada to meet at the hotel-casino Aug. 4-8.
I might even schedule a family reunion myself...

My niece had a destination wedding in Summerlin that turned into a family reunion, since so many people accepted the invitation. She, her fiance, her parents, her sibling, his father, his mother, his siblings, and three grandmothers all lived in different locations. Rather than favor one, they named LV as the place.

To their amazement, people came who would never have gone to any of the other cities. Also surprising was how many friends came and how many people booked for Thursday through Sunday for a Saturday wedding. They had it at the J.W. Marriott Resort, which was an especially great choice, considering how many people brought children. Some of them never left the grounds.

It was a memorable weekend with the wedding being just one highlight. I should think LV would be a stellar site for a reunion of far-flung families -- even ones who wouldn't make the Strip the focus. Another bonus: airfare to LV is reasonably priced and direct flights are available from an exceptional number of places -- a boon for the elderly and people with kids. The wedding couple's first choice had been Naples, FL, but the lack of direct flights for most guests killed the deal.

"There's a lot to do in Vegas other than gamble," Jones says. "It's very kid friendly."

Shhhhh! Don't tell anybody! Vegas doesn't want that kind of rep!

It is as good a place as any although I don't know about kids on the strip. It would be a good thing to market for off strip hotels that have kid friendly stuff.
