We're used to using water coolers/heaters and having large bottles delivered. I found Tahoe Springs but they service the strip area.

Anyone recommend a service in the NW area?
Otherwise I guess its a RO, water softener/filter.

Get an RO...actually easier than dealing with bottled in the outlying areas and save a few bucks over a couple of years. Plus adds a few dollars to the value of your house.

Sparkletts! After moving from Vegas to Nor Cal, it took me years to refer to delivered bottled water by anything other than Sparkletts. The trouble is no one up here knows what it is. Up here, it's Alhambra. Same company, just different branding.

re: RO..one other advantage is you can have the line tied into the refrigerator's ice maker.

Exactly, why pay for water every month and have that ugly tank in your house when you can have drinking water from your little spout on the kitchen sink and the same filtered, cold water/ice cubes out of your fridge door!

And as Olecapt stated it IS an improvement to your house if you decide to sell and leave the water treatment system for the new owner or renter.

If you don't get the bottles in side away from the sun they will boil and evaporate.

Go with the RO. I installed one and the water is much better.

You guys sealed the deal, RO it is. I don't think the fridge they left has an ice maker but i'll have them run the line during install.

appreciate the input. Now I might even consider another fish tank.... nah too much work.

You won't regret your decision. And after having owned many a fish tank in my day, even ONE is too much, lol.

but , remember, the RO is not completely maintenance free. you will have replacement costs for the filters, membrane every so often.
