Well today we met with a realtor and decided on having a new home built. We are listing our current home this week. The problem is they will not start building until we are under contract. Is this standard practice? I'm a bit upset that I'm going to have to leave my home and rent with 2 small children and 2 small dogs. All our stuff and kids stuff will be in storage and my kids are elemntary school age so this will be hard. Anyway i was hoping someone could tell me a good place to rent a home or townhome for a few months until our home is complete? West Knoxville, Hardin Valley, Farragut or Lenoir City would be preferred. We will be building in Hardin valley.

Thanks so much,
Nichole

rentals are everywhere and your realtor should be active in helping you find either a home and most rentals would like a year lease, so look mostly at apts. Several will do a month to month and that way you want loose your deposit and months wasted on rent. Good luck and happy building. Forrest Ridge is name of the month to month.

I would like to recommend Emerald Woods. It's a nice community with townhomes. It's located near the intersection of Kingston Pike and Cedar Bluff.

Default agree... find a realtor or....

we found a nice house to rent in Farragut listed on facebook actually. I was nicer than any rental homes a realtor showed us, plus it was about 20% less expensive. We found a lot of very large homes for rent on Facebook which we very nice.... just too big for just my wife and I... we settled on a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath but found homes with 4 or 5 bedrooms for nearly the same price on there. For better schools i would stay in farragut or hardin valley...

Just visited a nice place in North Knoxville yesterday. I have a friend who is the property manager there. It is located just off Callahan Road exit. The Bluffs at Beaver Creek. I know this is not in the area you are looking for, but they will do a lease for as short as 3 months. You can give them a call and check it out. Ask for Kelly Fall - 865-689-4919 They are pet friendly. Feel free to tell her that Lynn from BNI Group sent you.
