I will move to knoxville this summer, and am looking for a one-bedroom apartment, which is safe and reasonable priced in the west knoxville area now.

After searching online for apartments and reviews, I have a few choices:
1 Walker springs,
2 Sutter's mill,
3 Cedar Bluff,
4 Tiffany square,
5 Woodlands west.

The main problem is that I live out-of-state now, and cannot fly there to check them. Also, I am not sure how much I should trust the online reviews. So any suggestion or comment on these apartments would be greatly appreciated !!! If there is any other apartment that you guys would recommend, please let me know too. Thanks!

I lived in Sutter's Mill back in college. My two main complaints were that there was no washer/dryer connection and the traffic in the area was insanely bad. Traffic may be better; surely they've completed the road construction on Weisgarber by now. The area was safe, the apartment was cheap, and it's mostly college aged kids.

Thanks for the info. No W/D connection is not a problem for me. But I am kind of worried about the traffic. Usually how long would it take to get on 40?

No traffic, 3-5 minutes to the interstate. With heavy traffic, about 15 minutes, which still isn't too bad. I just cannot imagine traffic being as bad as it was 5-6 years ago when there was constant construction, so even during rush hour it shouldn't take too long.

Out of the five you listed, Sutter's is closest to downtown, but Woodland's West is practically right on top of an I-40 exit, making it probably a bit quicker to downtown, and has Walmart and a few fast food options close by, although Sutter's is a bit nicer.

I was thinking about cooper pointe too, but it got mixed online reviews. I was also worried if it is noisy there. Could you input more details? Thanks.

Thanks for these valuable information. For Woodlands west, I saw several reviews complaining the roach problem, and am hesitating about it.

Tiffany Square is in a good location. It on Gleason at Downtown West. You have several ways of getting on I-40 and are very close to West Town Mall and several restaurants, a movie theater. It goes down the side of a ridge in a residential area so it's not near heavy traffic.
There are several places for rent in Palisades Condos right now. That's at Gleason and Gallaher View. Convenient location and a safe area. Very quiet. I'll send phone numbers in a DM.

This is an old post, but I'm looking for places in the same west Knoxville area, as well.

There's about a ton of apartments available, but most everything I've inquired on requires a credit check. My wife has an eviction on her credit, and horrible credit, otherwise. Since we're married, everyplace is making us both fill out an application, and her situation has caused several denials. Does anyone know of any places that either don't require a credit check, or that would be willing to only base it on mine?
