Toddler's first trip to the mountains (along with 4 adults). Any recommendations for comfortable cabin rentals in Gatlinburg?

Maybe you should look or ask in the Knoxville forum not the Raleigh forum. Since Knoxville is closer to Gatlingburg than Raleigh.

I rented a cabin there through Jackson Mountain Homes a few year back. It was a great cabin, for a really good price. They have a ton to choose from too. However, while the cabin was great... Gatlinburg, not so much. But, to each his own.

Yuck to Gatlinburg. Go to the NC mountains instead of Tennessee. Our side is better ! We're partial to Boone and Blowing Rock. Tweetsie is great for small people.

How about Pigeon Forge instead of Gatlinburg? Eagles Ridge Resort Cabins.

Gatlinburg is in the cusp of the lush Great Smokies and has free moonshine tasting bars about every other block

We stayed in Royal Vista cabins, roomy and entertainment options, including pool table and hot tub.

We have rented from Mountain Laurel Chalets for years and have never been disappointed.

Gatlinburg Cabins | Cabin Rentals in Smoky Mountains | Mtn Laurel Chalets

However, look at the pictures closely because I have definitely stayed in some beautiful chalets that were not "baby proofed" and would have been rough with my (very active) toddlers. Steep stairways, lofts, amazing mountain view from a porch with a 30 foot drop, that sort of thing. But your child might be less active than mine were at that age.
