Hi everyone,

Well, I wasn't able to secure a lease option property so I am looking to rent a townhouse in Eagle Pointe in Cedar Bluff. I've read some good and bad about the conditions of the townhomes. Does anyone have any personal experience? Thanks!

Jo Anne

I don't know. Let me know what you find. I think if I move out of my depressing rental I'd feel a lot better.

Well supposedly, this is a big townhome community and the company that owns this property owns a few more in the area. I know that the area is a nice one but I'm not sure how well the properties are maintained with them being exclusively rentals. Eagle Pointe also has a fitness center, a few pools and a 3 mile nature trail. They are also extremely dog friendly. We have 3 dogs and they have no problem but of course with a good sized deposit. We are looking to rent a 2 bed, 1.5 bath, two-story townhouse. It's 1,300 sq. ft. The rent is going to be $850.00 month and it's like 4 miles from my new job! They have a variety of other t/h that are bigger, smaller, with garages or w/o and with fireplaces or w/o and even courtyards.

I can give you the link if you'd like to look into it too. Otherwise, you'll have to wait a couple weeks until I get there.

I've found it on the web. It looks okay. That area should be fine. If you want I can drive by and tell you what I think?

I'm kind of bored. The schools have been closed here for a couple of days due to illness.

The "bug" ran thru my house for nearly 2 weeks and I am glad that they are out of school!!

Sorry I went off topic.

If you don't mind taking the ride, I sure would appreciate the feedback. We are attempting rent site unseen because we want to move up ASAP.

I'm back! Did you miss me?

Here's the verdict...

I thought they were really nice.

First of all, I thought they looked much nicer in person. They must be older, since the landscaping is very mature. However, everything looked very kept up. Even the playground, tennis and volleyball court looked cared for. I only saw a slice of the pool area. I didn't want to get out of my car, because I looked awful!

The people out and about looked very decent. There were even a few kids out, which means families are not afraid to live there. It's in a good area.

I would recommend it.

Oh, and the seven-year-old, who is very picky, asked "Mommy, can we buy one of these places?"

Default Yay!

Okay, now I'm really excited! Thank you so much for making a trip over there. I'm glad that you liked it. I feel so much better now. Hey, maybe we can be neighbors if you decide to move there.
