Hey everyone

So it's been almost a month since we moved to Knoxville. We are so happy we did it. Everyone is so friendly. We are very happy. We are looking for some local swimming spots. Lakes, pond, rivers. Norris lake and Norris damn keep popping up. We have a pool here at our apartment but its so warm. Looking for a good place to cool off and have some fun. Thanks in advance.

Tim

If I remember right, Norris Lake is one of the cleaner lakes in east TN. My only suggestion is the Little River in Townsend, I was there yesterday, there's a place to jump in from the rocks, people bring their own tubes, not sure how deep it goes but there are very shallow areas too. I heard about a swimming hole in Sevierville but I never found it.

If you like creek swimming head to the Wye located in the national park near the Townsend entrance. The water is cool and it is a great place to get wet. It is on the left side of the road with a parking lot at the intersection with the road to Cade's Cove.
