Hey y'all,

My fiancé and I are moving to Knoxville in June. He's from Tennessee and we've been wanting to move back there. We are in our mid-20's and no kids. Where are some recommended apartment complexes in the area? We have an 80lb chocolate lab, would like W/D preferably, and 2bed/1.5-2bath for less than 1,000. We want a safe and nice area. Any suggestions would be great!

Are you moving to Knoxville or Nashville? Apartments that take large dogs might be a problem for you. Hopefully, someone here might know of a place.

Jegray,

I just read your first post here at City-Data (this being the second) that says you are moving to Nashville/Dickson area in June. Please clear up your actual destination.

Thanks,

Beretta

With their budget and space needs isn't it likely that their 2nd choice got moved to 1st place?

Actually, no we can afford up to 1,300$ but why pay that much when you don't have to? knoxville is much cheaper than Nashville. My fiancé got offered a job in Nashville and Knoxville and benefits for us are much better with the Knoxville job.

Thanks for clearing that up! What part of town do you prefer and/or will he be working in? I have a Lab also ;-)

I'm not in my 20s and I live in a house but I much prefer the Fountain City area. We are near the Broadway and Clinton Highway shopping areas. There are some really pretty apartment complexes nearby. Fountain City Park is lovely with the heart shaped spring fed duck pond (google it). If you decide to start a family the schools in this area are very good. There is good access to our public transit. Knoxville Area Transit (KAT)
