Holy moly, was it breathtaking. That's all I'm going to say! Its times like that, I'm cool about being stuck in traffic on I-40 heading West. Right around 5:45pm the sky was incredible. The sun was a deep orange hue about to crest the horizon. Chilly winter clouds breezed past. Pinks, blues. Good thing I didn't crash from being so lost in thought at that vision. The view was a heavenly stunner. I forgot I was late to where I was going, lol. With that view, I didn't really care about the time.

Moments like that? I wish I was carting along my Nikon SLR.

It was soooo cinematic landscape awesomeness.

Thought I would make note of this here at random in case anyone saw it, or drives that way to notice how marvelous the sunsets can be here.

Since moving to the Knoxville area from NJ in 2007, I have been in awe of the beautiful skies here. Nothing close to what can be seen here in NJ. I always seem to find myself in the Turkey Creek area or driving down I-40 when I have to stop and grab my camera. One evening, about a month ago, I took a beautiful picture of the sky from the parking lot behind Steak and Shake. My son was across the road in the Chic-Fil-A parking lot doing the same thing at the same time. We had both pulled off Parkside Drive to take pictures of the sky. Then, we both sent each other the pictures at the same time, without knowing the other was there. Now that was special!
Things we are blessed with in TN, plenty of rainbows and gorgeous skies!
