I am getting choosier by the day. The last time I had a decent colorist was at Salon Visage, but that was 2 years ago. Having since been to Salon Visage, I have had 3 different trips end up like crap. I've been to four different salons, all CRAP. I wish I knew who on earth gave me the perfect highlights at Salon Visage 2 years ago!?!? Hunt that person down, because that was the last time I had a GOOD color.

Do you know of anyone that can really color hair???

I now have dark brown hair which is too stark because my eyebrows are lighter than my hair. I've got yellowish highlights. The colorist totally missed roots with the highlights. Totally missed the undersides so, if I pop my hair in a clippie, all I see is one starkly dark shade. Let me just say that I hate it. Is this why salons keep the lights low? LOL!

Anyone good?

Try Gabrielle at Belleza Salon in Bearden. She is very particular and listens to what you want. I would suggest her first appointment of the day, as she sometimes tends to back up spending a good deal of time with each customer. I had a few bad haircuts and color jobs in and around Knoxville, but I always go back to Gabrielle. Never a problem and she can fix other's mistakes. Good luck!

I know what you mean. I had a bad color job at Pure Luxe Salon, of all places. A co-worker said it looked like I'd gone to the Tennessee School of Beauty. And their customer service was awful.

Try Hairpeace. Shane Archer was recently voted best stylist and best colorist in Cityview Mag's Best of the Best.

Hiknapster, thank you :-)

After reading that I checked out their site. Within about ten minutes I booked an appointment for Wednesday, yay!

Awards like that entirely appeal to me. He's like a hair color and styling surgeon. I saw lots of specialized training listed there.

I'm in Bearden a few times a week. Why I hadn't thought of Hairpeace, I don't know.

You're welcome!

I didn't really know about them until I met Kristen when she was working at the Dillard's makeup counter. She's now my stylist there.

I'm a little late in the conversation, but Sherese Rowans-Jordan (now at Salon of Bearden, 865-360-1517) has colored my hair for the last 7 years and has always done a fabulous job. I refuse to go to anyone else.

I've never heard of The Salon of Bearden. I Googled it and found these photos. I hope it helps.
