Well, we have decided on moving to the Knoxville area next summer, where we will rent somewhere around Maryville for the first 6-12 months while we do our hands-on research into the various nearby towns. One of our kids will be entering his first year of college and is contemplating community college. Does anyone have insight into the community colleges in the Maryville/Knoxville area? Are there any that stand above the rest or are there any that should be avoided? Thanks all.

It's in a safe area and it's a good community college.

There are 2 campus locations for Pellissippi. The one just outside of Maryville was opened about 2-3 years ago and is in a pretty rural looking area between Friendsville and Maryville on Lamar Alexander Parkway (rte 321). I haven't heard of any crime problems. There website does not make it easy to figure out what classes are given there.
