HEy everyone,

I have said this a million times but we are re locating to knox/Jefferson Co. sometime real soon. My husband just lost his job here and there is NO work. Sad because we moved here from up North 14 years ago and now we have to move again! Anyway, has anyone seen a need for electricians in those counties? I mean we are told they are in need but you dont see any jobs being advertised for. im talking about the electricians that build houses and commercial, not Electricial Engineers who maintain equipment in plants (boy are there ever ads for those). It seems like everyone from FL and other areas are just flocking to TN. With that, houses have to be built and electricians are needed right? Give me the scoop on the building industry there at the present and do things slow down come winter? Hubby has been an electrician for 13 years and has been a supervisor for 5 so he has a lot of experience!

The local IBEW would be a good place to start.
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers
Roden is a big eletrical supply house. They would have a good idea of the market.
Roden Electric (http://www.rodenelectric.com/roden/CPort.aspx - broken link)
