There is the Corvette plant in Bowling Green, KY. The tour at the museum is pretty cool.

If you're an art fan take in the Artisan Center in Berea. It is directly off of I-75. In Corbin you can see Colonel Sander's original restaurant. Driving through Lexington you could take a side trip to the Ky Horse Park (although this would take several hours it is quite beautiful).

Something in Lexington that is a bit more unusual is McConnell Springs. It is known as the birthplace of Lexington. There are 3 springs there and one of them is a very unusual color. It is a bright aquamarine. It is off of Old Frankfort Pike in an industrial area. It is a hidden gem.

if you go along 1-65, there is Mammoth Cave National Park (the largest cave system in the world)- not strange, but cool, guntown mountain (strange), dinosaur world (stranger...statues of dinos) and in bowling green (an hour from nashville) there is the corvette museum
