I'll be passing through Manhattan on a Friday next month, and I'm trying to decide whether or not it's worth it to hang around for the night.

I'm not a night life person, however when I last visited Manhattan in November Aggieville still hosted a number of bars and restaurants (although one of my favorite Tex-Mex eateries, Coco Bolos, closed in January).

Why is it called Aggieville? KState is the Wildcats.

Its short for Agricultural. K State is one of the top schools for agricultural science.

K-State was originally called Kansas State Agricultural College.
