Parkville gives you a very small town feel when you visit the main streets, and same with Liberty.

South of KC, is Lee Summit, Independence, and Blue Springs. Independence and Blue Springs, aren't as nice as north of KC or Johnson County. Blue Springs and Independence ae just a little run down. Lee Summit is alright, just not my preference.

All depends on what you want.
Just FYI,

Blue Springs seems to be doing a 180.

Have you been out there lately? Five years ago, I would have wrote it off as another "Grandview", a has been suburb that is all but done.

But that city has simply turned itself around right before it was too late.

Many of the strip malls along Route 7 have been redone and have a fresh look and new tenants, they are building more on the south and north end of the city. Most of the vacant big boxes and strip malls along 7 are now full and look nice again. Go south on 7 and you will see miles of new 300,000 dollar homes going up on both sides of 7 all the way to Colbern Road.

New homes are going up on Woods Chapel as that road is about to be improved to a 4 lane parkway.

Adams Dairy Parkway also has tons 300k plus homes going up on both the north and south ends of the parkway. ADP is also getting a high density mixed use development near the lake as well as Adams Dairy Shopping center. One of the largest projects in the metro area was just announced last week for this corridor that will be home to a research campus anchored by MIZZOU.

Some of the largest and most expensive homes in the metro area are in or just outside of Blue Springs now.

I just wanted to clear this up because Blue Spring was about a year away from being leapfrogged and Grain Valley would have landed most of this development. Just like Raymore has leapfrogged Grandview.

But Blue Springs has really turned things around and after nearly a 20 year hiatus, the city is now back to a top 6 metro area city for housing permits and one of the top suburbs for commercial construction.

Go check it out.
