We live out of state and will be relocating this spring/summer to the Kansas City area. I have spoke to a number of realtors and they all seem to be focused on a specific area or work for a specific development/builder. Can anyone recommend a great real estate agent that is at least fairly knowledgeable about the entire K.C. area. Right now we are leaning toward the southern Missouri area (Raymore, Lee's Summit, Blue Springs, Peculiar, Oak Grove, etc.) but employment could change that (accounting and education). We prefer a more rural area with a larger lot/land but with budget we may have to make compromises. Thanks!

Kansas City is so spread out, I don’t think there is ONE realtor that could truly help you about every area of the metro. There’s the MO/KS thing as well, although many realtors are licensed in both states.

The forum members here will be glad to help you narrow down where you want to look based on what’s important to you.

Thanks! Ideally we prefer a more rural feel. We'd prefer lakes, trails, and/or a larger lot/acreage (1/3 of an acre is absolute minimum). We aren't really interested in a subdivision with tiny lots or a lot of covenants. Budget is going to between $400k to $450 (depending on what we sell our current house for, jobs, interest rate at time of purchase, etc).

You can talk to this realtor:

I've used him in the past when buying and selling my house. He was real professional, knowledgeable and helpful guy. I have never seen better real estate agent then him. You can interview him and see if you like.
