One KC Place lights (maintenance, installing, building)

I was just wondering if anyone else noticed this or knew more about it but for about the last 6 months One KC Place only had the 4 corners lit up in red. I moved here about 6 months ago and remember in the past the full bar lights that wrapped around the entire roof used to always be lit too, or that's how it seemed when I was in KC. Just last night I saw they were on again in the blue-white they used on normal days.

I wasn't sure if they were doing maintenance or something but I'm glad they're back on because it used to be pretty hard to see the building at night. I also realized that I can actually see the roof from the steps on my back porch which is cool. I wouldn't have ever noticed that with the lights off.

I work there and asked the same question. The answer was the new owners of 1KCP were negotiating with the new lighting crew. Maybe it has been resolved. I know they have been installing new LED lights.

Looks like the lights might be done now. Looks great!
Instead of just having the blue lights on two sides and white lights on two sides, it now has 3/4ths of the wraparound lights one color, and the second color rotates around the top in a circle. Right now its blue with a white bar circling the roof, very nice, adds an interesting energy to the skyline. Just hope they get the western auto sign back on now.
