KCMO indeed... since Overland Park doesn't have it's own subsection in Kansas...
nice seeing that KC area is making news, I remember when Liberty made one of the spots in a top places to live a few years ago as well

Though I'm not fond of OP myself, prefer the more "rural" feel of the northlands

That list is all over the place. OP is a great value considering the cost of housing. Most of those cities are great places to live, assuming you're a millionaire. If you're looking for cheap housing and good schools combined with suburban blandness (just meaning there's nothing unique in OP, as with similar suburbs in other metro areas), then OP is perfect.

Another list came out yesterday ranking Overland Park 39th

Overland Park, Kans. - 1

Can't you pretty much cherry pick a suburb like this in every metro?

Cool. OP is not my chosen atmosphere, overall, but to each his/her own.

Cool link, glad to know that I live in the #1 ranked place to live "based on this source." Madison has a nice balance of good qualities, strong economy, great local food movement and business scene, a less crowded and less rushed lifestyle, and plenty of conservation land & parks around. I value places that have a high quality of life, not just a high quantity of life like other places I've lived in.

I knew this in 1964 when I was 7 years old! Even then I knew it was a great place to live! It still is.

Way too crowded now, though... I like to be able to have access to large areas of conservation land and park land while being able to be in the country in less than five minutes- Downtown in less than ten minutes.

But we aren't discussing Madison, Wisconsin. This is the Kansas City forum and we are discussing Overland Park. And you can be in the country from Overland Park pretty quick too. Overland Park always has been a nice place to live and as I said before, it still is.

No, but the big reasons why I left Overland Park were the big reasons why Madison gained the #1 spot on the list. That is all.
