Now all they need to do is replace all their reporters and news anchors, and they'll be just fine.

Man people really hated her, so I'm not surprised.

Bad week for chicks named Katie on the TV

KCTV is the worst news channel ever and Katie leaving won't change that.

Soooo true. Local news broadcasts are pretty bad everywhere you go, but KCTV5 is the worst I've ever seen. I hope others take away a message from this, that doomsaying forecasters who accentuate the most negative things in every forecast are going to fail with viewers. Forecasting severe weather five or six days out is just nuts, and many of our forecasters do it all the time. Then it doesn't pan out. Sometimes we don't even get any rain.

But it isn't just the weather people who are guilty. A couple weeks ago, soon after bin Laden was killed, there was a 'story' about Kansas City being a prime terrorist target because it would be such a surprise that a city of its size would be hit. I loathe fearmongers.

I loathe fearmongers.Yes I second the loathing. That is some truly astonishing logical leaping, huh? It is so unexpected that we should expect it? Yikes.

They're not going to make me start worrying about that. I am a worrier bynature, and if I'm not worried about a terrorist atack, I'd like to keep iot that way.

Why get weather from TV news stations anyway? It is unbelievably easy to get weather anywhere these days such as your: laptop, desktop, mobile device, etc. I can even get radar on my ipod now (downloaded an app) as long as I can get a wifi connection.
