Hiring managers are reporting more activity, and the percentage who plan to add staff is in tune with a recovering economy.

Where is the article to prove your statement is true.

I'm pretty sure the job market is about the same is it was 6 + months ago... but I'm not sure.

I agree. The job market's the same as it was 6 months ago. Plenty of unfilled jobs and plenty of unemployed individuals.

Manufacturing companies are complaining about not finding enough skilled workers to replace those who are retiring.

What to hell ever happened to training employees for the job? Seems if you already don't have the exact set of skills a company is looking for, then you're SOL.

I guess the cost of training people would cut into the millions the CEO makes every year. Can't have that.

That's what I thought. I'll have to take the time off from looking when I lose my job to push that degree to 12 months! Thanks for the input!

That is true, companies resist training. They always think there is a school that will train you for it.

Today we had some awesome hiring news. Nissan mfg is having a job fair , and they always hire tons when they do that, plus, over the course of the next year, the flooded Opry Mills mall is re-opening, adding 2,600-3,000 jobs.
