What to hell ever happened to training employees for the job? Seems if you already don't have the exact set of skills a company is looking for, then you're SOL.
I guess the cost of training people would cut into the millions the CEO makes every year. Can't have that.

artsyguy, Periodically many firms such as Challenger query employers on their plans. Its been all over the news. will there be pockets w/o more activity-some, but not the majority.

That is true, companies resist training. They always think there is a school that will train you for it.
Today we had some awesome hiring news. Nissan mfg is having a job fair , and they always hire tons when they do that, plus, over the course of the next year, the flooded Opry Mills mall is re-opening, adding 2,600-3,000 jobs.
