Hello. My last job I was laid off due to low performance issues & even though I thanked all the senior managers for having me there, I feel like I let with bad terms. I was a slow learner & their budgets were very demanding (I worked in finance firm-entry level-1st job). So now I am trying to find a job, and they want references. I have a really goods from my retails sales job of 4 yrs but not so good with my last one (which is my career-finance), what should I do?

Do employers actually give bad references if one calls them?

Thanks.

I wouldnt. You'll get hired on your own merits anyways. My 2 cents worth.
