JD Powers reliability survey doesn't agree with you, at least with cars manufactured in the last 5 years. I have had over 6 Jaguars and have NEVER had one fail to start, or break down. That includes an XJ6, 2 XJ8's, 2 S-Types and an X-Type.

May just be certain models or older ones. Either way, I've seen more Jaguars broken down on the interstate than any other car.

I wish I was so lucky, because seeing all of them sure makes for a pretty drive

Well it has been a year since I started this thread and I have not seen one single XF on the road.

I see one here and there here in Southern California, but no more than about one every 2 months. I don't have the numbers, but I remember reading that the European figures are much more reassuring.

I did some work for Jaguar on this car and well I'm in love. I've always been a BMW or Audi man, but I'm sold on the XF. Great styling, performance and handling dynamics. The interior is great. The touch screen very intuitive and simple buttons and controls.

I think I've maybe seen one on the road. But, I did get to sit in one this year at the Cleveland Auto Show. Very nice!

Same here, I own 2, S and X type both with lots of miles and never a problem....I wouldn't drive anything else.

So, how good are these? I'm considering a 2009 or 2010, either a 4.2 SC, 5.0, or 5.0 SC.
I really don't need the 5.0 SC but if the price is right, I'd like one.

Any reliability issues?
