Just wondering about this. Only radio access I've had here so far is the radio at the hotel where I stayed (Neptune Bch FL.) Couldn't find a classical music station. There was some kind of jazz station, maybe it was an NPR station?

Hey, JAX has a symphony orchestra, what about a classical music station? In 2 other cities where I've lived, the classical music stations were attached to colleges/universities-- is that possibly the case here in the JAX area?

I don't beiieve there is a station dedicated to classical music. NPR has a few slots for jazz and classical music after 11 PM.

Thanks for the info. Magnolia Bloom, is WJCT Arts & WJCT-FM HD2 a regular FM radio station? or just online? or satellite?

(It's probably obvious that I'm not tech-savvy at all, if that's the right term.)

I know you can get it online, not sure about satellite.

Tallahassee has an all classical public station that is good. - WFSU Radio Home It's available online and through MP3 downloads. (I'm not tech-savvy, either.... have an IPod but don't know how to download....)

They also have 89.9 WFSU, which carries the traditional fare. I've listened to public radio all over and the Tallahassee station is the best, IMO.

Radio-Locator is a really good site to check. You can search for stations by location, type of music played. Most are available online.
