Hello everyone,

I have just moved to Jacksonville, I live about 8 miles from the beach, off Atlantic and Kernen. I am looking for some good thrifts stores with good stuff. I have children and looking for some stores that have toys, plus our family just likes to look around.

If you are a thrift store junkie, can you tell me which ones are your favorites in Jacksonville, just give me a location and I can google and get directions.

Thanks a lot
Phbalance

Hi phbalance!

There are two Goodwill Stores on Beach Blvd. - one at Beach and St. Johns Bluff (in the Winn-Dixie shopping center) and at Jax Beach.

There's also the Salvation Army Thrift Store on Beach Blvd.

Some of my favorite thrift stores include the My Brother's Keeper Thrift Store on Philips Highway, the Hubbard House Thrift Store on Beach Blvd. in the Save-a-Lot shopping center, and Thrift Center at Blanding and Wilson in Cedar Hills.

A lot of thrift stores around here are over priced. If you can drive south on A1a to Daytona or drive out to poorer areas and you can get some good deals.
There is a real inexpensive one right on Beach Blvd across fr Wendy's next to the museum.
If you go down beach blvd, heading into town
From the beach, you can hit up the flea market and go to Salvation

Army then Goodwill, theyn are just west of St. Johns Bluff on beach
The Hubbard house moved Down the street, they are still on beach blvd, between Parental Home Dr & University. They have cool half off deals
There is the Angel Thrift Store
Which gets new stuff in mixed with used stuff.
They are right before, the veteran's thrift center which is right where Beach blvd &
Atlantic meet

Tons of stuff, no dressing room,
Then you can keeping going west, on to 95n and head
Over to the westside. There are several, Another mega one on Blanding blvd and Wilson blvd called "the thrift store"

A cool but wierd veterans one is down Edgewood near Beaver St. There
Are a couple of wacky ones on Philips Highway, same owners very unorganized very overwhelming, they have tons of lamps and table glass.

I like "The Thrift Store" off Beach Blvd, where Beach & Atlantic Blvds meet in St. Nicolas. Also, Goodwill off Beach & St. Johns is nice, they have dot sales every once in a while.

Default Thrift Stores

Found a nice one yesterday called The Sharing Place, off Phillips Highway. Right next to the Lutheran Social Services building. Good stuff and not trmendously picked through.

I know it's not a thrift store per se, but for those who have teens/pre-teens our kids like Plato's Closet for gently-used higher end clothing for that age group. The one we go to is over by HHGregg near the Avenues mall.
