As I've told you all for years, things can change fast in construction. This year they are changing faster than ever, so I felt the need to update this list as there are some additions (and a couple subtractions) that need to be revised. Without further ado, here is the most recent list of the best builders in NE Florida if you are looking to build or buy a new home:

Aurora Builders
Breeze Homes
Century Complete
Colour Homes
Cottage Home Company
DF Luxury Homes
Dostie Homes
Drees Homes
John Merrill Homes
Kingsouth Construction
Legacy Builders
TerraWise Homes
Trademark Homes
BeneBuilt Homes
Pulte Homes
Del Webb
Beckon Homes
Austin Painter Construction
Southern Builders & Interiors

As always, you should try to hire a 3rd Party private inspector.

As an update to this list, many of you may remember Centex Homes from years ago. I'm happy to announce that they have come back to NE Florida, and should be included in this list, so I've updated it to reflect that.

Is GL and abbreviation for Glenn Layton Homes, or some other company?

I think it stands for Good Luck Homes (really) They are based out of Sunrise. When we were looking in Naples they had an excellent reputation and built a quality product. They built nice communities with amenities. SS would be able to tell you more though.

Not sure where to ask this question, but maybe here..

Why do all the medium priced houses there only have Formica?

Hubby and I were briefly looking at houses in The Villages, and my son might be moving to Jacksonville soon. Not a single house so far, under $350k, has granite or quartz.

I get if they were built in the 90s and never updated, but these are all new or nearly new.
