I like this area from the research I have done. However, I will be working at the Regency Square Mall. Is that a realistic drive in and home, considering distance, traffic, etc.

Any comments on Ponte Vedra Beach?

If I don't move to PV Beach, I would like to locate between Regency Square Mall and the beaches. Any suggestions?

Thank you.

I am also looking at a home in Mandarin. Is that a neat area? What is its drive time to the Beaches? Thanks.

bleech, (sorry to anyone who might be insulted, it's just not for me) mandarin is barely ok, it is typical old suburban work a day type living, it's about a 25 + minute ride to the beaches from there. if you like the beach lifestyle then live the beach lifestyle not some suburban mess

Check this thread here for a discussion on locations near Regency Sq Mall, the thread heads that way:

https://www.city-data.com/forum/jacks...arlington.html

You have a lot of choices in between Regency Sq Blvd and Ponte Vedra if you don't end up at PV. The closer you locate yourself to the beach, the more you'll feel that "beachy" lifestyle, so if that's what you're looking for, don't head too far inland .

Mandarin is nothing like the beach. Mandarin is a nice enough place to live, but it's not like Ponte Vedra, it's a different kind of feel. Ponte Vedra is the beach and all that comes with it (beach country club, golf course, multi-million dollar homes on the ocean...). Mandarin has some upscale neighborhoods, but it's mostly middle-class suburban and that's what people like about it.

If cost is bringing you in from the Ocean, you might want to look at the San Pablo area. It's "Intracoastal West", so it's just to the west of the Intracoastal Waterway on San Pablo Road, but it's 5 minutes (if even) to the ocean and it still has a beachy feel. Here's one of the well-known communities in the area:

that could be I've only been there once or twice, like I said I apologize to whomever but that is my opinion, regardless of how correct it might be, I didn't put the place down, I just said it's not for me. and I have no clue where scott mill rd is
