My husband might take job in Jacksonville and we are looking for the best areas to live in - school quality is very important to us. We would like a nice middle class, low crime area. Thank you for any suggestions.

The 'Mandarin' neighborhood sounds just right for you. Very middle class, good schools, and most of the area is relatively lite on crime.

Although we are well aware that this exact type of question has already been asked and answered, literally hundreds of times on this forum, we are far too important to be bothered with using the "search this forum" option.

And although we know that there are dozens of internet sites created specificially to address our question, we would never waste our time doing any of our own research. Instead, we would much rather that all of you waste your time, repeating the same answers, over and over.

In addition, we have no intention of giving you any further information about us, such as number and age of our children, what part of town our jobs will be located, what general price range of housing we are interested in, whether or not private schools would be an option, or if urban or suburban areas tend to appeal most to us.

That said, we still expect immediate detailed answers from all of you. After receiving said information, we will likely not respond or thank any of you, in any way, and will probably never be heard from again.

Thank you! Can't wait to hear back!

I dont understand? What does the post above have to do with my question?

I appologize if my question has been asked before. Sorry I did not do a search. I just wanted some counties or towns to be named so I can ask a real estate agent to help us find a home. And if someone does help us I will be very grateful.

Any real estate agents out there who can help us? My husband will be in Jacksonville soon and we need someone to show him areound.

In descending order;
St Johns County - #1 ranked school system in the state
Nassaua County
Clay County
Duval County - which is all of Jacksonville
Baker County

The Manadrin area of town would fit your bill, most likely. Just google Watson Realty Jacksonville FL and you'll find agents that can help you there.

Duval County, where Jacksonville is, does not have the best schools. I would probably move to either St. John's or Clay County. St. John's is where Ponte Vedra and St. Augustine are located, and Clay consists of Orange Park, Fleming Island, and Green Cove Springs. Both school districts are a very short distance from Jacksonville (but of course, it depends on where you're intending to work...Jacksonville is very wide-spread) and both are ranked in the top 10 school districts in the state.
