In short, they both suck large elephant testicles.

GadgetRick pretty much hit the nail on the head. However, they suck in different ways.

U-Verse will never be as fast as Comcast, and while they have fairly good introductory deals you'll end up paying a higher price in the long run.

ComCast is cheaper overall, faster, and relatively stable, but their customer service leaves something to be desired.

From personal experience, I reccomend Comcast over AT&T any day of the week. I'm willing to put up with slipshod customer service in order to have television and internet that don't drop out randomly.

I switched from AT&T DSL to Comcast early this year after having a ton of problems with AT&T (service had worked well for many years and then went "poof"). I haven't regretted the move for a minute. Note that U-Verse internet isn't available where I live - so YMMV. Robyn
